  1. I like the cast and think I might have to tune in. Will be nice to see Bec after all these years out of the spotlight (I haven’t watched her Channel 9 branded content show).

  2. Mark Wahlberg at 17 was charged with bashing two men one unconscious and the other blinding him in one eye but he did his time and he was able to become a huge Hollywood star. So really what is the big deal if Schapelle Corby does some reality shows?

  3. Since when does being a convicted criminal make you a celebrity?
Absolutely disgusting Channel 7, now deleting your channel from my television.
I do not support this at all.

  4. With some of the comments on here it’s no wonder Australian TV is so often dumbed down. Schapelle Corby is a convicted criminal who Seven are now literally hailing a celebrity. Whether or not she has “done her time” is irrelevant. DWTS always lists the contestants’ profession or claim to fame during the intro package. How are they going to tackle that one?

And there is no such thing as a victimless crime.

    1. no such thing as a victimless crime? Thats an absurd thing to say. In many countries homosexuality and pre-marital sex is a crime, who do you suggest the victim is there?

  5. I’m 100% with Fairgo, give Schapelle a break for goodness sake. She’s done her time and is entitled to move on. She’s always claimed she was innocently caught up in it anyway. No one will ever really know of course, but if she was innocent, then she deserves to get on with her life. If she was in fact guilty, well she’s done her time. She wasn’t pushing ice onto people, it was boring old cannabis. If she’d been caught in Australia with it , she would have been given the usual slap on the wrist. Give her a break.

    1. Why is she a “celebrity” though? She can have her fair go at Woolies in the deli section or similar, but the way she is being celebrated as a pop culture icon is disturbing.

    2. sitting with my kids 10 & 11 watching the show and my kids asking who she is was very disturbing…what message does this send to our children?

  6. Nice move for seven to include Schapelle.
Its a massive troll to the SJWs & judging by the comments here will get them lots of publicity.
That said Schapelle wouldn’t be a reason for me to start watching the program though.

  7. Do we know if any/all of the returning people are getting their original partners again? I presume not since Luke and Lincoln were both paired with the same dancer the first time around, but surely that would be part of the fun of bringing them back in the first place?

  8. I have never understood the intense hate for schapelle, she committed a victimless crime and paid a huge price, I think she deserves the opportunity to move on and live her life.

That said I don’t like that there are ‘wildcards’, ruins the concept of doing an all stars season. Matty J and Schapelle would be well suited to a normal season in the future. There must be 200+ past contestants. They couldn’t find 14 of them that would sign up to return? even during a period where the arts industry has been decimated and most of them would hardly have a full calendar?

          1. You keep saying that but are yet to identify who the victim is.
The more western democracies legalize marijuana, the more we learn about just how victimless what schapelle did always was.

      1. Just wanted to add, Schapelle has never stated she is a star it’s the media and once it’s thoughtless individual who allow the media to get in their heads so you all talk about it for free advertising. I know if I was charged with a crime and knew I was innocent , I would be damned if I would hide from the world. She has never asked for this publicity. Again if any of us had a family member returning from jail, I think we would all encourage to get out there and be the best person you can be. Forget the star bit , that’s the media talking. I think there is many people who have made comments have indulged in drugs or have friends or family that have, do I judge to them, just like Schapelle, the answer is No, coz I don’t know your parties or Schapelle. We need to worry about what’s in our backyard first . Maybe we need to ask our direct family if everything is ok with them, coz…

  9. Corby is supposedly not permitted to profit from her crimes, but she is considered to be a “star” as a result of having committed said crimes, and will receive an (undoubtedly generous) appearance fee as a result. A reprehensible showing from Seven.

    1. It’s genuinely disgusting. Fine appear on a reality show. But one with the title of celebrity or star is inappropriate and sends a woeful message.

  10. The deal breaker for me was the annexation of Luke Jacobz. I have never liked him in all his endeavours. It was a tall order watching him on Home and Away for sixteen weeks last year but in all his years in the creative services trade, he hasn’t demonstrated the feeblest bit of progress. I wish the casting at Warner Bros. Television had attempted to persuade Jennifer Hawkins or someone else with a high profile for another appearance.

  11. Agree with all the comments on Schapelle Corby. A convicted criminal should not be called a Star. Come to think of it neither should most of the others, but that’s another story. And Ten, if you are thinking of putting her in next years Jungle please think again.

  12. Corby should be no where near this. Seriously disappointed in Seven. I won’t be watching now, I said that when I heard the rumour. The lineup other than that is great. I was actually looking forward to this. Shame on Seven.

    1. Who cares what she has done in the past. She has done her time. What happened to Aussies giving everyone a second chance. To all that against her, I interested to know if a family member got in trouble with the law, would you disown them. Maybe your father, mother, brother, sister. People life’s too short, just move through to the future and not live in past. Unless you walk in someone’s shoes, don’t past judgement.

      1. Just because she has done her time does not excuse that she has done her crime. People can pass judgement all they like, just as you’re passing judgement here on people’s opinions of a convicted drug smuggler. I have had friends who have become drug addicts, it ruins lives and It’s people like Schappelle who keep the drug supplies going for their own selfish gain without remorse…until they’re caught. It’s not a victimless crime and people are free to think what they like of her.

        1. I’m bit confused, I have not passed judgement on any of the comments. I was bought up , that unless you have nothing nice to say , don’t say it. And my comments towards Schapelle are not judgemental or to the individuals who have made a comment. Yes people are free to think but directly attack them with harmful words

          1. You clearly said in your comment to people “don’t pass judgement” unless we’ve walked in her shoes. Sorry but as soon as you’re a convicted criminal those are shoes most people don’t want or need to walk in to make an educated judgement on that person’s actions and character.

  13. Does anyone care? Tens show was brilliant l watched it. It was heaps better than the ratings received. 7s rehash will flop in my view especially up against Masterchef and 9s offering, presuming Lego Masters?

  14. Surprising that they where able to get so many stars to appear on tv with a convicted drug smuggler. I definitely won’t be watching this crap

  15. This is actually a pretty great list if you ignore the convicted drug smuggler. Seven could have sold this on raising spirits and the nostalgia factor but have instead gone with a cheap trick. I hope it flops but I won’t be surprised if it does well.

  16. Incredibly disappointed to see that they have cast Schapelle Corby in this, why are they glorifying a convicted criminal? I refuse to watch her which is a bummer when the rest of the cast looks pretty good.
