Aussie Ashley Zukerman (Rush, The Code, Succession, A Teacher) gets his own US series in Dan Brown’s The Lost Symbol.

Set to screen on NBCUniversal’s Peacock streaming service a trailer for the mystery series has been released. Written by Dan Dworkin and Jay Beattie, The Lost Symbol follows the early adventures of famed Harvard symbologist Robert Langdon (Zukerman), who must solve a series of deadly puzzles to save his kidnapped mentor and thwart a chilling global conspiracy.

The Lost Symbol is the third Brown novel featuring the Langdon character, following Angels & Demons and The Da Vinci Code, and is set after the events of the latter. The series also features Valorie Curry, Sumalee Montano, Rick Gonzalez, Eddie Izzard and Beau Knapp.

An Australian broadcaster is yet to be confirmed.

  1. Oh this looks marvellous. He’s got such wonderful eyes. I’m really looking forward to seeing him in this role. Fingers crossed it does go to Stan, cut up with commercials is not the way for this sort of show.

  2. What a great opportunity for him to be in a lead role. Seen him in most productions he has been a part of and he is a fine actor. Hope it is a success. Personally never read Dan Brown books but hopefully the series is authentic and captures fans of the highly successful book.

  3. Enjoyable book hope they can translate the Brown novel without changing too much of the intricate adventures as the theatrical versions needed to do.
