‘Starstruck’ was awful, utterly unfunny and charmless-numbers will plunge next week.
Actually I quite enjoyed it, despite my dislike for storylines based on unrealistic one-night stands. I didn’t realise it was a half hour show, and was quite surprised when it ended just as I felt the story was starting to develop properly.
I think the whole series is available to binge, but I prefer the slow build-up, so I am looking forward to the next episode.
I watched The Win.
My mum once said i you have nothing nice to say don’t say anything at all….
Hmmmm, Win The Weak, see what i did there ? was awful it forgot that quiz shows even funny ones need to ask a lot of questions, this is why HYBPA? works, it is rapid fire and fun. WTW wasted a lot of time of the celebrity swap, which could have been done a lot quicker. Much the same can be said for The Weakest Link, too much banter, fire up the questions and just get on with it because it looks too scripted. All hail HYBPA? and Hard Quiz, the undefeated and undisputed champs of quiz’s !!
Win the week got what it deserved and it’s only probably going down from here. I did not enjoy it, bring back hard quiz ABC!
I think it’s probably a good thing that Hard Quiz doesn’t over-egg it with long seasons, it is better to keep it short and sweet. Win the Week was joyless and the games weren’t interesting. I was hoping for something more along the lines of the UK Mock the Week, which captures the essence of a funny current affairs quiz.
I know it’s not always an exact science with the eye test, but just looking at the figures, that 7 win surprises me. The multi-channels are basically the same (0.1 difference) and 7’s win over the news hour is more than negated by 7:30 through to 9:30 wins by 9, from what I can tell. I wouldn’t have thought anything past 10:30 would be significant enough to matter.
I don’t understand why they took so long to announce the ending of Doctor Doctor (unless I am mistaken, it was only announced a few weeks ago) as I’m sure more eyeballs would have been keen to tune in if it had been known that there was an end in sight and that one wouldn’t have to make a long-term commitment to a show that was now in its fifth season.
Given the previews of “Win the Week” weren’t all that good, after watching last nights episode, my wife said when it ended … ‘Bring back Hard Quiz’. What rubbish.
The new comedy “Starstruck” was also very average, to say the least.
