Four Corners leads ABC charge on Monday

Ratings: Big crowds for Seven News, Four Corners and Media Watch on Monday.

It was an unusual Monday night of viewing with a public holiday in most states and a controversial current affairs episode. But ABC drew some impressive results.

Four Corners drew a bumper 722,000 metro viewers with Media Watch at 681,000.

Earlier ABC also led with 7:30 (682,000) and Australian Story (651,000), then Celebrity Apprentice at 621,000 (Boardroom: 679,000), MasterChef Australia (579,000) and Big Brother (568,000).

Elsewhere Have You Been Paying Attention? was 650,000 then Emergency (357,000).

An afternoon AFL match on Seven pulled 617,000 across the network.

Seven network won Monday with 27.2% then Nine 25.6%, 10 21.0%, ABC 19.2% and SBS 7.0%.

Seven News was very high at 1.29m / 1.19m for Seven. Home & Away was 617,000 then The Chase (397,000 / 194,000 in select cities) then 9-1-1: Lone Star (269,000) and SWAT (147,000).

Nine News (1.06m / 971,000) was best for Nine. A Current Affair won its slot at 727,000 then Hot Seat (471,000 / 295,000). Across the network Footy Classified was 148,000 and 100% Footy was 67,000 in select cities.

The Project drew 530,000 / 318,000 for 10. 10 News First (348,000 / 270,000) and How to Stay Married (157,000) were next for 10.

ABC News was 718,000. Murder 24/7 (298,000) and The Drum (189,000) followed.

On SBS it was SBS World News (187,000 / 136,000), Secrets of the Tower of London (159,000), Secret Scotland (154,000), 24 Hours in Emergency (109,000) and Mastermind (87,000).

NCIS led multichannels at 187,000.

  1. I really think 4 Corners is benefiting by being the one of the very few serious current Affairs shows around. Its also good that it has a regular time slot and i always know when it will be on. Well done ABC.
