Home & Away leads Seven to Tuesday win

Ratings: Ninja Warrior leads reality race. Who Do You Think You Are? lifts for SBS.

High drama at Summer Bay ensured Home and Away was the top entertainment show for the night at 650,000 metro viewers. Seven won the night and topped the demos, although via Seven News & Big Brother.

Meanwhile Australian Ninja Warrior led the reality race then 588,000, just pipping Big Brother (568,000) and MasterChef Australia (561,000), then 7:30 (543,000) and Anh’s Brush with Fame (523,000) close behind. Who Do You Think You Are? with Denise Drysdale was high for SBS at 344,000.

Later Finding the Archibald drew 401,000 then The Weakest Link (349,000), How to Stay Married (296,000) and movie: Deadpool 2 (290,000).

Seven Network won Tuesday with 28.9% then Nine 27.1%, 10 18.8%, ABC 16.1% and SBS 9.1%.

Seven News was #1 at 1.11m / 1.01m for Seven. The Chase drew 597,000 / 371,000.

Nine News (972,000 / 940,000) was best for Nine. A Current Affair won its slot at 733,000 then Hot Seat (487,000 / 309,000).

The Project drew 416,000 / 258,000 for 10. 10 News First was 343,000 / 234,000. NCIS managed 202,000.

ABC News was 694,000 for ABC. The Drum (217,000) and What Are We Feeding our Kids? (182,000) followed.

On SBS it was Insight (229,000), Dateline (203,000), SBS World News (157,000 / 127,000) and Mastermind (70,000). The Feed was 54,000 across the network.

NCIS on 10 BOLD led multichannels at 164,000.

  1. Not sure I’ve seen it mentioned anywhere this week, but the elephant in the room? Nina’s almighty plunge (something like 1.7m metro an episode just a few years ago)… Now it’s at Big Brother and MasterChef 2021 levels and it’s demographics have disappeared?

    Maybe the Australian Open’s audiences back in January were a sign of things to come this year, only MAFS so far (and to a lesser extent HYBPA) bucking the trend.

    1. agreed, Nine is probably scratching its head wondering where have all the ANW viewers gone to? I expected this to rate better than Celebrity Apprentice; perhaps it will be a steady ascent, or have viewers grown tired of the concept? I’ve never been a fan of the ‘over-hyped’ commentary.

  2. Great episode of Who do you think you are? featuring Denise Drysdale. Seeing she knew very little about her background, it was a great outcome, both the highs and the lows.
