10 signs deal with Facebook

TV Tonight can reveal 10 has signed a deal with Facebook that sees the global giant paying for clips.

10 sources confirmed a multi-year arrangement to provide news clips to Facebook News. This will cover 10 News First, The Project and Studio 10.

It follows earlier agreements by Facebook with Seven, Nine (both at 3 years) and a letter of intent with ABC. SKY News also reached a new agreement that extended on an existing agreement.

These follow Federal legislation passed last year after a Media Platforms review by the ACCC.

10 declined to reveal further details.
