News dominates ratings week

Cities in lockdown, rising cases and rising ratings.

There was State of Origin and a MasterChef finale, but news bulletins continue to draw in viewers, particularly with our 2 biggest cities in lockdown.

News bulletins dominated 8 of the Top 10 places, while ABC News channel also lifted in audience share.

Nine won the week with Seven a close second, particularly given it had to contend with Origin III.

  1. 9 have really dominated July on the back of Origin, tennis & rugby.
9 should continue with mid – week Rugby tests next year with back to back games similar to this tour with France
    thru July

  2. I’m surprised Ch9’s winning margin % ended up bring so tight with SSO3. If the result had been a clean sweep for NSW or more one sided, they might have lost the week which would be embarrassing.

Maybe timeshifting numbers will show a larger gap with Ch7.
