The Voice makes its debut on Seven on Sunday, 8 August, hosted by Sonia Kruger -expected to precede the Olympics Closing Ceremony.
That will also pit it head to head with The Block on Nine.
Coaches are Keith Urban, Rita Ora, Guy Sebastian and Jessica Mauboy.
Keith Urban said: “I love the spirit of The Voice – the fact that we’re coaches more than judges – and that we get to do hands on mentoring. That’s what sets the show apart.”
Rita Ora said: “Helping people find their voice is truly inspiring.”
Jessica Mauboy said, “It’s not always about hitting the perfect note, it’s about making sure you feel the song because that’s going to help you connect to the audience and the people watching at home.”
Guy Sebastian added: “What I am looking for is somebody who you can imagine on radio, who is immediately identifiable by their voice, their tone, and the way they tell a story through song.”
7.00pm Sunday, 8 August on Seven.

Change of network for the Voice doesn’t make me want to watch. I don’t like how the judges make such outlandish promises of life-changing success….suck them in, spit them out…and then the winner is never heard of again. It’s not a talent show, it’s a contrived dog fight.
Oh great The voice and The block head to head. Let me guess will The masked singer be on as well on ten then?
Luckily for recording devices!
Can’t wait! This should be good.
Has the series (bar the final) already been filmed, or could it be subject to government restrictions?
Filmed… I suspect with final.
