The Voice renewed for 2022

Before the new season debuts, Seven backs another for 2022.

TV Tonight hears whispers that The Voice has been renewed by Seven for 2022.

While an audition notice went out in late May, that’s no guarantee of a series (Nine even had an audition notice up for 2021 before it let go of the show).

But Seven bosses are buoyed by the upcoming season with Keith Urban, Jess Mauboy, Guy Sebastian and Rita Ora and the ITV Studios Australia show will be back in ’22.

Seven had previously announced Australian Idol for February 2022 but it isn’t clear if that’s still the plan. As yet no auditions or judges have been announced.

The new season of The Voice is set to screen after the Olympics.

Seven has been contacted for comment.

  1. Oh thats good news. I must say i was worried about it moving to Seven but from the previews i’ve seen, its got me very excited for the new season. The coaches look like they’re going to be great and honestly if those two voices in the above promos are anything to go by we might have some great talent too. Rita said on radio a month or so back she was surprised at how much talent there was here so we will see. Can’t wait.
