Seven’s broadcast of the Paralympics gets underway from Tuesday night in Tokyo.

The Opening Ceremony will screen at 9:15pm Tuesday on Seven, however this has a slight delay according to a tweet by Joh Griggs.

It will be Live on 7plus at 9pm.

Griggs will anchor the event with Kurt Fearnley and Annabelle Williams, and will be one of the hosts across the Games.

  1. I still can’t get over the fact they delayed the closing ceremony for The Voice and made no effort to show it live in Perth. Seems they didn’t learn. Oh well.

  2. 20 minutes delayed? I guess its not terrible and it is live on 7mate so thats something. I hope people embrace these too. As for competition though, what will the Paralympics schedule look like on Seven though David? (unless i’ve missed an article) Seems like there is little to no information.

    1. Looking at the TV guide of day 1 it seems from 10am on 7mate and then after the morning show it’s on 7’s main channel until 4pm news and then back on 7mate for the rest of the night. So I guess they are trying to give it some main channel daytime coverage rather then playing it all on a multichannel.

  3. Given they only showed about 20 minutes of the Tokyo 2020 Olympics Opening Ceremony live (everything before the first ad break) its good to see they’ll treat the Paralympics a little better.
