Auditions have opened once again for Hot Seat, but only for Victorian residents. due to current border restrictions.
Applicants must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident, over 18 years of age,
Senior Producer Miles Reeves recently gave TV Tonight some tips on how to get selected.
“We’re looking for people from different backgrounds and different generations,” he acknowledged.
“I think in the past, there were a lot more men than women. Now I’d say it’s pretty 50 / 50 with the applications.
“There’s more choices on television now. So 18 to 21 year olds might not be watching. But you have to have your head screwed on still. We want you to have a bit of nous, a good background and knowledge.”

I think Hot Seat is boring! Glad Larry Emdur is the host of The Chase to shake up the game show battle on Seven and Nine
Good to hear that new episodes are going to be made. There is a rumour going around that Channel 9 are again trying to replace hotseat. They are screening promos for a new quiz show during hotseat and many people have jumped to the conclusion that this new show will be replacing hotseat. I’m glad to hear that it will hopefully not be happening.
I auditioned last time…hope I get picked *fingers crossed*
