Biggest Olympics haul so far

Olympics now crack 2m metro viewers as Seven amasses a whopping 54% share on Sunday.

There was Olympics on Seven…. and then there was daylight.

Seven amassed a mammoth 54% share last night with Olympics eclipsing 2m viewers in metro audiences alone. Thank you lockdown…

In primetime Olympics drew a whopping 2.07m / 1.52m / 1.18m – the biggest day of competition so far. Even Seven’s afternoon audience was bigger than anything offered up by others in primetime.

Beauty & the Geek topped entertainment at 678,000 followed by Australian Survivor (568,000 at 7:30pm) and Kevin’s Grandest Designs (441,000 from 7:40pm).

Later 60 Minutes drew 450,000.

Seven Network was enormous at 54.0% then Nine 19.8%, 10 12.7%, ABC 9.0% and SBS 4.5%.

Seven News was also huge at a whopping 1.74m viewers, smashing Nine News at 991,000.

A late edition of Nine News was 264,000.

The Sunday Project drew 421,000 / 279,000 for 10. 10 News First was 314,000 / 244,000 then FBI at 161,000 / 72,000.

ABC News was 660,000 then Innocent (226,000) and Compass at 193,000.

On SBS it was SBS World News (174,000 / 124,000), The Beatles: Eight Days a Week (124,000) and Lennon’s Last Weekend (77,000).

I wonder how many more are watching through the 7plus app. In my opinion this has made this years olympics so much more enjoyable, being able to watch your favourite sports when you want to watch them or in full without disruption. I’m also very curious to know what sports are rating within the app.
