The Voice wins again, Australian Survivor lifts for 10.

Dream run continues for Seven's singing sensation. Janine Perrett nails Media Watch.

Better late than never (this could become a thing…) numbers have now been released for Monday viewing.

The Voice continues to eclipse the magic million with 1.16m metro viewers last night -a dream run so far for Seven.

Australian Survivor lifted to 733,000 and won the younger demos, but The Block slipped to 619,000. Australian Story was 530,000.

Later Have You Been Paying Attention? was 716,000 then Media Watch nailed by guest host Janine Perrett (520,000) and Four Corners 60th anniversary (516,000).

Seven network won Monday with 31.1% then Nine 23.2%, 10 21.%, ABC 18.0% and SBS 6.7%.

Seven News was #1 at 1.24m / 1.18m. Home & Away was 676,000 then The Chase (607,000 / 402,000) and 911: Lone Star (378,000).

Nine News was best for Nine at 1.18m / 1.05m. A Current Affair drew 753,000 then Hot Seat (528,000 / 338,000) and Celebrity IOU just 237,000.

The Project drew 559,000 / 345,000 for 10. 10 News First was 436,000 / 287,000 with a repeat of Arj Barker: We Need to Talk at 179,000.

ABC News won its slot at 803,000. 9 / 11: Beyond the Towers (263,000) and The Drum (222,000) followed.

On SBS it was Secret Scotland (185,000), SBS World News  (180,000 / TBA ), Inside Windsor Castle (174,000) and 24 Hours In Emergency (TBA).

ABC Morning News led multichannels on ABC News with 217,000.

  1. What’s causing the ratings drop for The Block? It’s not my thing (the literal equivalent of watching paint dry), but it has always been very popular. Viewer fatigue? I saw somewhere it was suggested that since people can’t travel, they’re spending their money on their own home renos, and don’t necessarily feel like watching others do it on TV.

  2. I found the watermark advertising a particular streaming service in the top corner of the screen advertised during Survivor to be very off-putting as it was largely irrelevant to the show. It’s bad enough with the channel logo watermarks on some channels, especially when it’s over-the-top though am understanding or tolerant of retaining channel rights, but an enduring advertising watermark seems to be crossing the line.
