10 tops entertainment shows on Thursday

Gogglebox and Mirror Mirror prove winners for 10 in both Total People and Demos.

10 shows managed first and second places in Total People last night and both led the demos in their slots.

Gogglebox returned to 663,000 metro viewers in a 9pm slot, a lift on its season premiere in February.

That was aided by Mirror Mirror winning its slot at 613,000, up on episode one. It defeated an extended Home & Away (567,000 / 508,000), 7:30 (563,000), RBT (463,000) and Foreign Correspondent (387,000).

Meanwhile The Front Bar was 381,000 then Australian Crime Stories (345,000) and Q+A (313,000).

Seven network won Thursday with 27.6% then Nine 24.7%, 10 22.6%, ABC 16.3% and SBS 8.8%

Seven News (1.01m / 985,000) was #1. The Chase drew 522,000 / 348,000 and The Latest was 287,000.

Nine News was best for Nine at 1.01m / 996,000. A Current Affair won its slot at 741,000 then Hot Seat (471,000 / 293,000). Reported Missing pulled 168,000.

The Project drew 482,000 / 276,000 for 10. 10 News First was 341,000 / 226,000. A Cheap Seats replay was 205,000.

ABC News was 688,000 for ABC. Sammy J (361,000), 9/11: Life Under Attack (221,000) and The Drum (181,000) followed.

On SBS it was Great Asian Railways Journeys (228,000), SBS World News (194,000 / 147,000), 9/11: The Unheeded Warning (138,000) and 9/11 Kids just 42,000.

Coronavirus: Public Update led multichannels at 200,000.

Today Extra: 169,000 / 133,000
The Morning Show: 133,000 / 122,000
Studio 10: 52,000 / 40,000 /

  1. I enjoyed the doco even though i have seen this type of doco before on sbs. IMO a lot of these issues are centred around people wanting to be wanted and liked. Humans are social creatures.

  2. yeh really enjoyde mirror mirror – I think the key is that it had more mainstream appeal than his previous stuff for ten. I hope they are encouraged by this and look to make similar docos on stuff like this. They are actually outstanding numbers for a thursday, especially on ten and great that it grew night on night – I think the show also have great word of mouth so will do great catch up figures as well

  3. I’m pleasantly surprised that Mirror Mirror is doing so well… I’ve really enjoyed all of Todd Sampson’s previous stuff, but I don’t remember them rating this well (or leading their timeslots)
