  1. I would highly recommend ‘9/11 the Falling Man’ which i saw a few years ago. I think it was repeated on broadcast this past week but its available for streaming on SBS On Demand. It delves into the story behind the photo of a ‘falling man’ that appeared in The New York Times and then other news outlets worldwide. It was widely criticized as being ‘disgusting & exploitative’ but this tells the story behind the headlines so to speak.

Any recommendations from people as to what out of this lot or other 9/11 docos are the best of the bunch?

  2. NBC’s Saturday edition of Today (broadcast early Sunday morning on 7HD and 7Two) focussed all content on 9/11. It was a great show with stories and interviews throughout. Pretty sure Seven doesn’t own the rights to replay on demand, but if anyone is interested in it, the programme’s website might contain a replay.

  3. There still hasn’t been a film that overwhelmed me to the point of tears like Paul Greengrass’ 2006 masterpiece ‘United 93’. The utter sadness and devastation I felt watching that incredible film has had a lasting effect on me. For those who haven’t seen it I recommend giving it a watch, but be prepared to be overcome with emotion on what those poor passengers went through to try and save themselves. Gut wrenching.
