Renewed: Succession

A fourth season of media empire tyranny is on the way.

No surprises here… Succession has been renewed for a fourth season by HBO.

Set in New York, the series created by Jesse Armstrong explores themes of power and family dynamics through the eyes of media patriarch Logan Roy (Brian Cox) and his four children, Kendall (Jeremy Strong), Siobhan (Aussie Sarah Snook), Roman (Kieran Culkin) and Conor (Alan Ruck).

The current cast also includes Nicholas Braun, Matthew Macfadyen, Peter Friedman, J. Smith-Cameron, Fisher Stevens, Harriet Walter and Zoe Winters. Additional cast includes Alexander Skarsgård, Hope Davis and Adrien Brody.

Season 3 of Succession is currently screening on FOX Showcase / Binge.

  1. Producers said it was always intended to go for 5 seasons but they now think it may finish after 4. Hope they change minds and goes on for many more as best drama series around at moment

    1. The same could be said regarding Showtimes (Stan’s) ‘Billions’ which after 5 seasons is still going to continue with season 6 even after the departure of Damian Lewis who was contracted to do 5 seasons and did not renew. I would think the longevity of Succession is definitely in the hands of the main actors and whatever their contract agreements are, I personally cant see Brian Cox being tied up with this show for 5 or more seasons or Sarah Snook who seems pretty ambitious, besides Succession’s current 22 episodes will never match Billions 60 episodes and demanded a lot from Damian working so far away from his family, which is typical of American studio bosses.
