Returning: Guilt

British drama with Mark Bonnar & Jamie Sives returns for its second season.

UK thriller Guilt featuring Mark Bonnar & Jamie Sives returns for its second season on BBC First.

The 4 part series screens two weeks after its return in Britain.

The cast also features Sara Vickers, Stuart Bowman, Emun Elliot, Phyllis Logan, Greg McHugh, Sandy McDade, Henry Pettigrew, Rochelle Neil and Robin Laing.

The twisting and twisted, cool and compelling Scottish thriller is back, drenched in black humour and smouldering with intrigue. Guilt has been absolved by punishment. Now revenge takes over.

Max steps out of prison on licence. His fate is in the shaky hands of an undercover cop. She offers him freedom, at a very high price: informing on his dangerous enemy, Roy Lynch. But can Max really trust her? The dark wit, duplicity and dynamism of the first series made Guilt a genuine word-of-mouth smash, with record catch-up figures and a clutch of awards. This time things are even more dangerous. And even less predictable.

Sundays at 8.30pm from October 31 on BBC First.

  1. ‘Guilt’ was a slow burn for me as I initially didn’t like the characters much but the story kept me interested, just, having said that there was enough left unfinished to add more to this series so fans will be happy. Meanwhile what’s happened to ‘Bodyguard’, Jed Mercurio has had his fingers dipped in a lot of TV drama pies recently, I doubt the US studios would have let this hit show idle like iTV have.
