7News Spotlight: Nov 14

Jeffrey Epstein's former communications specialist to reveal new information on Prince Andrew.

7NEWS Spotlight tonight teases new revelations in the case surrounding Ghislaine Maxwell and the late Jeffrey Epstein.

Seven cameras travel to the US, the UK and Serbia, in an investigation led by Ross Coulthart, with Epstein’s former communications specialist Steve Scully to reveal new information on Prince Andrew.

“A US court is about to hear evidence for the first time that puts Prince Andrew’s denials of any sexual misconduct under the microscope in a way he clearly never anticipated,” he says.

“The Americans are making it clear that no-one is above the law; one of the most senior members of the Royal Family is about to have his credibility gravely challenged.”

Prince Andrew is staring down the barrel of a 2022 court date over allegations he sexually abused Virginia Giuffre when she was 17.

He has always vehemently denied the accusations by Giuffre, who claims she met the Duke through disgraced billionaire paedophile Jeffrey Epstein and his alleged madame Ghislaine Maxwell.

To date the allegations against Prince Andrew have been very vague.

Between 1999 and 2006, Steve Scully was the communications specialist on Jeffrey Epstein’s private Caribbean Island. One of his tasks was building and maintaining the island’s own cellular network.

Now a key witness in the civil case against the Duke, Scully’s detailed audio interview with 7NEWS Spotlight – alleging he saw Prince Andrew “grinding against” Giuffre on Epstein’s private island – was the last he did on lawyer’s orders.

7pm Sunday on Seven.
