Melbourne Cup tops quiet ratings week

New shows last week didn't exactly match the year's big shows -but the Cup finished on top.

There were new shows added to schedules last week but they didn’t exactly match the heights of the year’s big shows.

Parental Guidance, Big Brother: VIP, Lie with Me joined early evening shows such as Celebrity MasterChef, The Dog House and The Bachelorette.

But it was the Melbourne Cup that topped the week at 1.21m metro viewers -albeit down on 2020’s 1.4m.
