Get ready to testify all over again.

It’s a long way off but Foxtel has confirmed S2 of televangelist comedy The Righteous Gemstones for early January.

Created, written and executive produced by Danny McBride (Vice Principals, Eastbound & Down), the nine-episode season will premiere with a double episode then new episodes weekly.

The Righteous Gemstones tells the story of a world-famous televangelist family with a long tradition of deviance, greed and charitable work. Season two finds our blessed Gemstone family threatened by outsiders from both the past and present who wish to destroy their empire.

The series stars Danny McBride as Jesse Gemstone, Adam Devine (Pitch Perfect) as Kelvin Gemstone, Edi Patterson (Vice Principals) as Judy Gemstone, John Goodman (Treme, The Connors) as Eli Gemstone, Cassidy Freeman (Longmire) as Amber Gemstone, Tony Cavalero (School of Rock) as Keefe Chambers, Tim Baltz (Drunk History) as BJ, Skyler Gisondo (Booksmart, Vacation) as Gideon Gemstone and Greg Alan Williams (Greenleaf) as Martin Imari.

Returning ensemble cast includes Walton Goggins (Vice Principals, The Hateful Eight), Jennifer Nettles (Go-Big Show), Jody Hill (Eastbound & Down), Valyn Hall (The Internship), Kelton DuMont (Logan), and Gavin Munn (Raising Dion), with new additions to the series Jason Schwartzman (Fargo), Eric Roberts (Suits), Eric Andre (Bad Trip) and Jessica Lowe (Miracle Workers).
