It has been the toughest week of my life. I just received her ashes back today and it’s triggered me all over again. Oh god it’s just so heartbreaking.
Btw I appreciate the comments regarding my beautiful Ellie everyone… so thank you.
I absolutely love this little (well not so little anymore!) community you have built David. It feels like a big family sitting around a dinner table with a tonne of opinions being thrown around as too much wine is consumed :p
Absolutely agree…great community sharing in David Knox’s great blog…
My heart hurts for you and your awful loss….😢
I adore Doghouse. It’s warm and sad in equal measure and I always find myself (and my partner) going “awwww”. Even though there’s female doggies on the show, it’s very comforting to find little bitchiness in this program. And I agree that Cheap Seats could be a grower for TEN
The Dog House AU and UK are lovely TV, i laugh, i tear up and can’t wait for the reveal at the end of each episode but last nights wrap was terribly sad…
Sorry for your loss Troy, must be heartbreaking💔. I think The Cheaps Seats is going to become a sleeper hit like HYBPA, if ten give it time to grow. The Dog House is great viewing, smiles and tears in equal measure!
Hey Troy..so sorry to hear this. I hope you take some consolation that you loved and gave a great life to Ellie for 6 years..she was lucky to have such a caring daddy..take care.
I’m happy The Dog House is doing well! Was sensible of 10 not to stray too far from the UK formula. Not sure where the show originated, but the UK version is great.
The Dog House Australia is very well made. Yes, relatively formulaic but for people who love dogs, it’s perfect in its simplicity. Probably pretty cheap to make so well done ten!
I lost my 6 year old Dachshund to a tiger snake bite last Monday. She was my world, my companion during the long Melbourne lockdown and just my best friend. I have largely been inconsolable since then, especially as I can’t get the distressing vision out my head of me walking in my front door and seeing her on my living room floor passed away… so the Dog House is certainly not something I’m readily able to watch at the moment… which is a shame because I have enjoyed watching it.
My life is changed forever. I love you Ellie, daddy misses you so much beautiful girl. xx
Sorry to hear Troy. A horrible moment. Dogs are the best companions and I’ve been thinking of getting one myself.
Sorry to hear that Troy.
David it’d be one of the best decisions ever. We got a rescue Kelpie cross a few years ago and she is the best companion ever. Dogs are always happy to see us.
Doghouse Australia and UK are such good TV, not my normal television shows at all and my family think it’s the funniest thing ever that it’s must see TV for me.
Don’t forget them kitty cats too! ;)
Sending you a big hug Troy. I know the heartbreak is so terrible.
I’m not surprised that Sunrise is fading away. For a show produced in Sydney it seems to be more and more, all about Victoria. Are Victorians stories cheaper?
There’s lots of talk about how good Love Island is going after it is shown, but it was even beaten by The Cheap Seats on Total TV numbers!
Love Island is getting a mammoth lift in BVOD from a lower base. Cheap Seats won its timeslot last Tuesday and has a smaller BVOD lift, but ends up in front overall. You can click on the link to see the detail.
Loving The Doghouse Aus. Even better than the UK version . Such a warm-hearted and feel good show with some really touching back stories regarding the kind hearted people and dogs involved.
Such beautiful doggies as well.
The post-credits card on last night’s episode was a bit of an emotional whack, though :(
Yes, so sad. Hopefully that dear little dog they adopted helped to brighten up the time that man had left. As well as making a beautiful little companion for his wife.
