Formula 1 lifts across Foxtel platforms

Most-watched season so far across 4 x Foxtel, Go, Now, Kayo platforms.

The 2021 Formula 1 season was the most-watched of all time for Foxtel Group.

An average audience of 308,000 per race viewed across the 4 Foxtel, Go, Now, Kayo platforms, up 31% Year on Year.

Meanwhile Bathurst saw an average audience of 482,000 tune in for The Great Race, the second most watched Bathurst event of all time. A dedicated pop-up channel on FOX Sports delivered 7.1 million hours viewed.

Eight of the top ten most viewed F1 races occurred in 2021, headlined by the Italian Grand Prix at Monza won by Aussie Daniel Riccardo (467K total viewers) and the Russian Grand Prix which saw Lewis Hamilton reach his 100th Grand Prix Victory (439K total viewers).

The thrilling final race of the season in Abu Dhabi which started at midnight Monday Australian time – and decided the championship – is currently the third most-watched race of all time (437K total viewers).

  1. This was the most exciting F1 season in years. I desperately wanted to watch it. It I just couldn’t justify the cost of adding sport to my Foxtel Go subscription to watch it.
    I wonder how many other F1 fans felt the same way?
