Sam Frost quits Home & Away

Updated: “We support and respect Sam’s decision to leave Home and Away," says Seven.

Sam Frost has reportedly quit Home & Away after 4 years as Jasmine, having attracted headlines for her stance against taking COVID-19 vaccinations.

The Daily Telegraph reports she will film her final scenes today.

In October Frost faced widespread public scrutiny for a video she produced detailing her refusal to take the COVID-19 vaccine, and for comparing the public backlash she faced to “segregation”.

But Seven has required vaccines to be mandatory for all staff, with Frost previously indicating she would take time out for a medical procedure and then get vaccinated in January.

The former Bachelorette had no acting experience when she was cast in the Seven soap, but has been welcomed and embraced by cast and audience.

Updated: A Seven spokesperson said, “We support and respect Sam’s decision to leave Home and Away. Sam leaves with our sincere thanks and very best wishes for the future.”

Sources suggest her departure is not linked to Seven vaccination policy with a timeline being mutually agreed to. The role will not be recast.
