ABC News channel: 2022 highlights

Greg Jennett has been announced as the new host of Afternoon Briefing on ABC News.

Previous host Patricia Karvelas, now presenting RN Breakfast, will remain a regular face on the channel with analysis while also hosting special programs.

ABC News has also outlined its 2022 highlights in an Election year.

As poll day nears, the ABC’s top political team will bring viewers the latest news and best analysis of what it all means, including Political Editor Andrew Probyn, Insiders host David Speers, Elections Analyst Antony Green, Data Analyst Casey Briggs and the entire Canberra Parliament House team.

From Monday 31 January the full programming line-up is back with Australia’s most experienced live newscasting line-up: Michael Rowland, Lisa Millar, Nate Byrne and Tony Armstrong (News Breakfast), Fauziah Ibrahim and Johanna Nicholson (Weekend Breakfast), Joe O’Brien (ABC News Morning), Ros Childs (Midday), Gemma Veness and Kirsten Aiken (Afternoons), Karina Carvalho (ABC News Tonight), Beverley O’Connor and Yvonne Yong (The World), Ellen Fanning and Julia Baird (The Drum), Michael Tetlow (ABC Late News/News Overnight), Miriam Corowa (ABC News Regional/Weekends) and Mariam Saab (ABC News Weekends.)
