UK crime drama The Long Call, starring Ben Aldridge, (Pennyworth, Fleabag) premieres this week on SBS.
The 4 part series also features Declan Bennett, Siobhán Cullen, Martin Shaw, Neil Morrissey and Juliet Stevenson.
It premiered internationally in October.
The Long Call follows DI Matthew Venn who has returned to live in North Devon with his husband. It’s a place Matthew walked away from 20 years ago, after being rejected by his family. He is grieving for the recent loss of his father and now must lead a shocking murder investigation: a body has been found on the beach. As Matthew and his team search for clues, the pressure mounts as the case takes an unexpected turn. Matthew must unravel the web of mystery and lies to get to the bottom of the case.

A body is found on a beach in North Devon. DI Matthew Venn must lead an investigation and confront a community he was exiled from 20 years ago.

This is based on the book by Ann Cleeves, who wrote the novels behind the character of and early episodes of Vera. Looking forward to it.
Looking forward to this one as well as the new one on tonight on SBS. SBS are getting some good dramas at present. Just finished watching La Fortuna, excellent show but probably not for the masses who enjoy Survivor, MAFS etc
