US sitcom Mr. Mayor starring Ted Danson, premieres on Nine in a late night 11pm slot tomorrow.
Co-created by Tina Fey it centres around a wealthy businessman who runs for mayor of Los Angeles “for all the wrong reasons”. Once he wins he has to figure out what he stands for, gain the respect of his staff, and connect with his teenage daughter, all while controlling the coyote population.
The cast also includes Holly Hunter, Bobby Moynihan, Vella Lovell, Mike Cabellon, and Kyla Kenedy. Over two seasons guests have included Andie MacDowell, David Spade, Chrissy Teigen, Beau Bridges and Ed Begley Jr.
It is followed by 2019 drama The Village at 11:25pm.

A must watch series, hilarious and well written!
A shame that it didn’t air earlier, was it on a streaming service in Australia recently?
Also, it’s time sensitive, so what jokes they say or episode are relative to when they were filmed with news and pop culture at the time.
Has been on 9Now for a while. I enjoyed the show but couldn’t continue with the constant ads so this works for me to record it.
‘Mr Mayor’ sounds rather like ‘Spin City’ from a while back-‘The Village’ has been on for a while now and must be about to expire.
