Airdate: Reacher

Alan Ritchson stars in new action series as a man wrongly pinned for a homicide.

Bad boy Jack Reacher features in a new action series coming to Amazon Prime Video.

Starring Alan Ritchson (Smallville, Titans) it is based on Lee Child’s first novel Killing Floor, and is written for television by showrunner Nick Santora (Scorpion, Prison Break), who also executive produces.

The cast also includes Malcolm Goodwin, Willa Fitzgerald, Chris Webster, Hugh Thompson, Maria Sten, Harvey Guillén, Kristin Kreuk, Currie Graham, Marc Bendavid, Willie C. Carpenter, Maxwell Jenkins and Bruce McGill.

Reacher follows Jack Reacher, a veteran military police investigator who has just recently entered civilian life. Reacher is a drifter, carrying no phone and the barest of essentials as he travels the country and explores the nation he once served. When Reacher arrives in the small town of Margrave, Georgia, he finds a community grappling with its first homicide in 20 years. The cops immediately arrest him and eyewitnesses claim to place Reacher at the scene of the crime. While he works to prove his innocence, a deep-seated conspiracy begins to emerge, one that will require Reacher’s keen mind and hard-hitting fists to deal with. One thing above all is for sure: They picked the wrong guy to take the fall.

Friday February 4 on Amazon Prime Video.

  1. Is this Tom Cruise on steroids?, even the smile is Cruise like. But seriously, I think we now have a ‘Jack Reacher’ character that may actually work, Alan Ritchson did okay in DC’s Titans but really needed his own show, now he has one. I shall be watching Amazon Prime Video’s Reacher with interest.

    1. Platform shoes will make him 6′ 5” easily. I’m guessing you’re too young to know 1950’s actor Alan Ladd who was a touch over 5’5” in height, one or two actresses had to walk along a trench to give him some extra height, he stood on boxes for kissing scenes.
