MAFS big in Overnights, BVOD.

“Married At First Sight is again the undisputed leader in Australian entertainment,” says Nine.

Nine has collated its Total TV numbers for the current season of Married at First Sight, which is enjoying big numbers in Overnights and big lifts in Broadcast Video on Demand and Timeshifted.

In some cases those lifts are even between 50%-80%.

Married At First Sight is again the undisputed leader in Australian entertainment,” said Hamish Turner, Director of 9Now and Programming. “We are seeing significant audience growth across both Live and VOD viewing, demonstrating the power of our Total TV proposition. Total Audience acceleration is driven by the growth in consumption on connected televisions.”

  1. I had this whimsical-like hope that Australia might have started to get viewer fatigue for this rot of a show in 2022… clearly I was living in Narnia because this show will go on for years to come. And really… do you blame Nine with ratings like that? A phenomenal success. It’s baffling.

    1. Troy, give Channel 9 some credit. MAFS is a powerful tool in teaching young people how to have meaningful relationships as adults. With strong role models, it’s 100% family viewing.

    2. Don’t be too harsh on the public, I think there are a few factors at play. When you just break it down to what it is, it’s an entertaining look at an experiment that no person should ever enter into, i think that’s the intrigue. Being coupled up with a stranger and living with them – Big Brother anyone? There is definitely the guilty pleasure anticipation factor of when things will go wrong and what will happen. People love drama right? MAFS is stacked with it. The water cooler element is still alive too.
