Lifestyle series Grand Designs NZ is returning to ABC later this month after Muster Dogs wraps.
Episode 1: Piha Clifftop Retreat
Presented by Chris Moller, Grand Designs New Zealand takes us into the heart of life’s great unfolding human stories, where ordinary Kiwi families risk all to experiment with architecture, technology, and their own lifestyle, in the most geographically challenging locations.
Joe and Suze Hardie are passionate about the beautiful, wild, west coast beach settlement of Piha on the North Island, where they’ve lived for the past 6 years with their two children in an old bach, perched high on a steep hillside with jaw dropping ocean views.
They’re extremely social people who adore entertaining, but their current house has very little indoor or outdoor living space, so the plan is to knock it down and replace it with a beautiful new, modernist home, tailor-made to suit their lifestyle.
