Returning: Louis Theroux

Louis is back in Australian premiere episodes, exploring three controversial corners of American entertainment.

Australian premiere episodes of Louis Theroux: Forbidden America will screen on ABC TV Plus in March.

These are brand new instalments exploring three controversial corners of American entertainment.

Louis Theroux returns with a gripping series exploring three controversial corners of American entertainment and meets those accused of dangerous, toxic, and criminal behaviour.

In the first instalment, he meets a young generation of leaders and content creators of the internet’s far right – some of whom have grown in notoriety since the Capitol Hill riots on 6th January. These figures are breeding a fast-growing ‘dissident’ nationalist movement through online networks.

The second instalment looks at the changing face of rap in the southern states of America. Social media rivalries and the need to connect with fans in more extreme ways have led to the live streaming of decadent lifestyles. Louis meets those striving for glory, those who have risen fast and those who have fallen hard.

Finally, as the porn industry grapples with its own MeToo movement, Louis meets the accused and the accusers. Is justice being handed out fairly?
