  1. I love Australian Survivor but 100+ minute episodes 3 nights in a row of any TV show is too much. I hope as the season progresses the episodes shorten, which I think has happened in the past.

    1. That’s what has lost me in with past seasons. I found myself frustrated with the first ep on Monday as well. Over 20 mins before we saw anything happen! I’m a big US Survivor fan and love how it just gets on with it. I find the Australian version too drawn out and seemingly like it’s trying to make it bigger and more difficult that the U.S. There’s nothing wrong with punchy one hour episodes with 18 contestants over 39 days.

      1. I totally agree with you. I love the 1 hour episodes of the US version, they’re short sharp and keep my eyes glued to the TV. The Australian version is too drawn out, I just can’t get into it so I’ve given up on our version. I haven’t watched an episode for a number of seasons now.

    2. This I beg to differ. My US friends prefer the Aussie version as they feel that theirs is rushed and crammed into 1hr each week. With ours at least there is more conversations happening about voting and friendships forming etc etc. The US get some of it, but they also miss quite a lot of the camp chatter that maybe necessary for certain voting etc. I tend to agree with them, much love the Aussie Version for this reason. We also have a reward challenge and immunity challenge in each episode, the US doesn’t do this all the time.

      1. I agree with you, I love the longer episodes as we get more content to go off of. Casual fans more than likely hate it and want shorter straight to the point episodes, whilst Survivor Super Fans love the 70+ minute eps.
