“New timeslot” coming for The Voice
Is Seven hatching a mega-plan for two reality shows after Easter?

The Voice will have a “new timeslot” in 2022.
“You’ve heard about AFL and how that has been primed for a monster start that will grow engagement throughout the year and how its launch will in turn grow The Voice in its new timeslot,” sales boss Kurt Burnette told advertisers this week.
Does it mean the show is headed to a later timeslot? Doubtful. Later in the week? Also unlikely.
But could Seven be looking to replicate its Dancing with the Stars / SAS Australia scheduling with The Voice and Big Brother?
That would feasibly see The Voice on Sundays and Big Brother stripped on weeknights -or a variation therein. Screening both together will set Seven apart from Nine’s Lego Masters and 10’s MasterChef.
Big Brother is also confirmed to screen in Q2 and has dropped its first teaser. Q3 kicks off with the Commonwealjh Games and helps launch the return of MKR.

See this is what Channel 7 does. They finally get something good and go mess it all up. They never learn.
Sounds similar to what 10 do with Bachelor and for example Amazing race, one on for 2-3 nights then the next takes over mid week.
Just no. The voice shouldn’t be a weekly show. Why change things that aren’t broken. And I wish they would stop stripping shows. Don’t strip big brother down.
Hardly thing “Sunday 7pm” should be considered a “new timeslot”. The Voice has pretty much had that timeslot since its inception.
AFL should be back to being Saturday and Sunday daytime programming. There is no need for midweek games in prime time.
I’d suggest that Seven and Foxtel and the hundreds of millins of dollars they pay for AFL rights would beg to differ….
agree – primetime means ratings gold and probably something of an entitlement after the $$$ invested.
