  1. There’s a lot to take in with the budget. There’s the initial announcement and speech, then the media and journalists have to look over the large volume of documents in more detail. So the follow-up programming and reporting would have more details, information and reactions than the initial reaction programming like Budget 2022: An ABC News Special or Seven Network’s The Latest, for example.

Albanese is due to give the budget reply very soon, which might be televised. It will be seen if Labor would have done anything differently and whether they would have spent more or less, and where the funding would have gone to, and whether these things are answered or not.

    1. What’s with this “which might be televised”. The Opposition’s budget reply is always televised.
In fact the TV guide lists the reply speech at 7.30pm tomorrow (Thursday) on both the ABC main channel and the ABC news 24 channel.

      1. Yes, without having ascertained that at the time of posting, I wouldn’t want to confirm without knowing the broadcast details for sure. Of course it will be in the guides and occasionally David posts articles about upcoming broadcasts for proper confirmation. I had some idea it would possibly be sometime on Thursday, hence why I mentioned “very soon”. I’m not directly involved in scheduling or the guides.
