Commentators decreed the People’s Forum last night was largely a tie, although Opposition Leader Anthony Albanese holding his own against skilled debater Scott Morrison was deemed a positive.
The final result according to 100 swinging voters in attendance was 40 per cent in favour of Mr Albanese, 35 per cent for Mr Morrison and 25 per cent undecided.
Neither leader landed a ‘knock-out’ blow according to observers, but there was biffo around asylum seeker boats and China -other topics included the economy, jobseeker, aged care and nursing, disaster relief, NDIS, establishing a federal ICAC and a loss of faith in major parties.
Following the debate one audience member told Paul Murray Live that SKY News favoured Scott Morrison in having more time to respond to questions.
Murray later quashed that claim by asking moderator Kieran Gilbert about allocated times.

So in reality it would have been 60 – 20 since they would have been mostly sky viewers.
For that hour or so they were all Sky viewers. It was available on FTA channels outside the usual 5 capitals. No Foxtel subscription required.
As the earlier post indicated, “100 undecided voters as chosen by Q&A Market Research.”
