Couple forced to quit The Block

In a Block shock, one couple was forced to quit the show just a week after filming, due to family reasons.
While couples are yet to be formally confirmed by Nine, the Daily Telegraph reports influencer Elle Ferguson and her fiance, former AFL player Joel Patfull, have had to quit the season after Patfull’s mother suffered a nasty fall.
“Wherever you are in the world. Whatever you are doing. Family always comes first,” Ferguson wrote on Instagram, sharing photos of the couple travelling back to Adelaide with all their Block luggage.
But producers who always have a shortlist of season candidates has already brought in a replacement team.
“Over the weekend, we were surprised to have one of our new contestant teams depart The Block a few days into filming for the upcoming season. We wish them all the best for the future and we’re excited to have cast two new Aussies for the opportunity of a lifetime on The Block. The Block Tree Change will air as scheduled later this year,” a Nine statement read.
No doubt the exit will make for dramatic promos when the series begins.

Hey, I remember Joel Patfull from his AFL days! I think he played for Brisbane & GWS and was also on Port Adelaide’s list for a couple of years???

Not the first time. In season 2 Andrew Rochford & his wife replaced a couple who had to leave because of a prior conviction
