A tale of two debates in ratings week

Nine's debate came out on top in numbers, if not in the PR battle, as Seven wins another week.

There were two Great Debates last week.

On the back of its Lego Masters lead-in, Nine’s came out on top at 655,000 metro viewers, but Seven’s was received better, especially for moderator Mark Riley, if at a lower 529,000.

Seven won another week buoyed by Seven News and The Voice -but the return of Big Brother trailed in the reality race.

For 10 MasterChef Australiawas the stand-out, which is more than can be said for the appalling primary share on Saturday -just 2.8%.

Gruen Nation returned to 588,000 for ABC.
