Production underway on Last King of the Cross

New cast filming in Sydney include Callan Mulvey, Matt Nable and Damian Walshe-Howling.

Filming has commenced in Sydney on upcoming drama series Last King of The Cross for Paramount+.

Inspired by John Ibrahim’s autobiography the series stars Lincoln Younes as Ibrahim with Ian McShane as lead antagonist Ezra Shipman.

Newly announced cast include Callan Mulvey (300: Rise Of An Empire, Outlaw King), Tess Haubrich (Spiderhead, Alien: Covenant), Claude Jabbour (Eden, Stateless), Maria Tran (truy Sat, Echo 8), Matt Nable (Riddick, Bikie Wars: Brothers In Arms) and Damian Walshe-Howling (Underbelly, Janet King).

Also featuring are Wadih Dona, Setareh Naghoni, Wesley Patten, Jake Ryan, Tony Nikolakopoulos, Simon Elrahi, Robert Rabiah, Justin Rosniak and rising stars Allegra Monk and Malek Alkoni as teenage John.

The 10-part drama tracks John Ibrahim’s rise from a poverty-stricken immigrant with no education, no money, and no prospects, to Australia’s most infamous nightclub mogul in Sydney’s Kings Cross.

Produced by Mark Fennessy’s newly-founded Helium Pictures, the series will be distributed internationally through Cineflix Rights.

It is expected to screen later this year.
