Sheldon Riley on the turquoise carpet

40 artists this week attended Eurovision's official Opening Ceremony at Turin's historic Venaria Reale.

A vision in white, Australia’s Sheldon Riley hit the turquoise carpet this week in Turin ahead of the Eurovision Song Contest 2022.

The Opening Ceremony took place at The Venaria Reale.

Built in 1675, it was one of the residences of the Royal House of Savoy, added to the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites in 1997.

Following the parade, artists and their accompanying delegations will be brought inside to the majestic Galleria Grande of the Reggia, where they will be welcomed by the Mayor of Turin Stefano Lorusso, by the Eurovision Song Contest Executive Supervisor Martin Österdahl, and by Executive Producers Simona Martorelli and Claudio Fasulo.
