Home & Away‘s Ray Meagher may be a man of few words, but that’s just why viewers love him.

He’s up for his second Gold Logie this Sunday night.

How does it feel to be a Gold Logie nominee for 2022?
RM: Pretty good. I thought Gold Logie nominations were all over for me in 2010. But to get another nomination at age 77, I’m very thankful, very humbled and very honoured.

What’s been the highlight of your TV work over the past year?
RM: At my age, turning up to Channel 7 every morning rather than arriving at Channel 9 or 10…. I think I’ve done very well just to find the set.

Give us your best campaign lobbying… why should viewers vote for you?
RM: I can’t think of a good reason to be honest! But if you don’t want to vote for me, vote for Sonia Kruger.
