Returning: The Secrets She Keeps

S1 of psychological thriller debuted on Free to Air, but S2 gets a Subscription premiere.

Season 2 of The Secrets She Keeps will premiere in Australia on Paramount+.

This marks the second time a 10 drama series debuted on Free to Air but shifted to Subscription for its second season.

Laura Carmichael (Downton Abbey) returns for the six-part psychological thriller alongside Jessica De Gouw (The Crown, Underground) as Meghan and Ryan Corr (Bloom, Holding The Man) as Simon.

Todd Lasance (Spartacus: War of the Damned, Cloudstreet) joins, re-cast as Meghan’s husband Jack (previously Michael Dorman).

It isn’t clear if S2 will enjoy a Free to Air window later, having previously been teased as a Network 10 title.

From the opening moments of The Secret She Keeps season two, we know something has gone terribly wrong for Meghan (Jessica De Gouw). An incident has taken place that will have devastating repercussions for her family and her marriage. In maximum security prison, much-despised inmate Agatha (Laura Carmichael) has a secret of her own, one that makes her desperate to escape to safety.

The complex web of interplay between Meghan and Agatha in The Secret She Keeps season two, will culminate in bone-chilling twists and astonishing turns, while telling their all too human stories.

The Secret She Keeps season two is a Lingo Pictures Production for Paramount+, with production funding from Screen Australia in association with Screen NSW. It will screen on the BBC in the UK and Sundance Now in the US with international sales handled by DCD Rights.

  1. Paramount+/10 did the same thing with season 2 of Five Bedrooms and it came to FTA recently. But I really hope season 2 of The Secret She Keeps comes to FTA soon. I really liked season 1.

      1. Not impressed another 10 drama is now on Paramount+ Just saw an advert for the Secret She Keeps. Now I’ll have to wait another year before it’s Free to Air broadcast. I think it’s disgusting that American owners are forcing their pay to view on our Aussie dramas.
