Network 10 shows scored first and second in entertainment last night, while Sarah Ferguson made her debut as the new host of 7:30.
But it was a soft debut for SBS / NITV drama True Colours while the night went to Nine overall.
MasterChef Australia climbed to 624,000 metro viewers, defeating 7:30 (593,000), Australian Story (535,000), Australian Ninja Warrior (409,000) and Big Brother (348,000).
Later Have You Been Paying Attention? topped the demos and won at 598,000 then Four Corners (535,000), Media Watch (463,000), Wimbledon (392,000 / 372,000) and 9-1-1: Lonestar (193,000 / 142,000).
Nine network won Monday with 31.3% then Seven 23.4%, 10 21.1%, ABC 16.7% and SBS 7.5%.
Nine News (938,000 / 887,000) was best for Nine. A Current Affair won at 688,000 then Hot Seat 482,000 / 392,000.
Seven News was #1 at 1.03m / 998,000 while The Chase led with 586,000 / 342,000. Home & Away was 467,000.
The Project drew 399,000 / 266,000 for 10. 10 News First was 354,000 / 233,000. A Celia Pacquola: Let Me Know How It All Works Out special was 204,000.
ABC News pulled 667,000. India Now! (183,000) and The Drum (174,000) followed.
On SBS it was Marilyn: Her Final Secret (167,000), SBS World News (159,000 / 116,000), True Colours (116,000), 24 Hours in Emergency (93,000) and Mastermind (74,o00).
Wimbledon coverage on 9GEM led multichannels at 178,000.

Today: 189,000
News Breakfast: 104,000 / 72,000

116k for True Colours is pretty good, considering the competition and how badly SBS’s local dramas have been rating recently.
Perhaps too many Aboriginal cops in the outback/regions series on air at the moment, particularly as no conventional Oz police shows on TV currently?
couldn’t help but notice that they’ve already ditched the desks lighting up when they do the individual challenges of “Have You Been Paying Attention?” Maybe they could start muting Ed’s mic next time though.
