  1. Hi David

Could you please find out when Ipcress File will be rescheduled to? since it was bumped to make room for the Olivia Newton John special

    Thanks

  2. They bought the rights to the novel so Waktins could have Cole playing Caine playing Palmer and reshoot whole scenes from the film, down to the arty camera angles. And of course to stop anyone recreating their TV show without doing the same. It has 7s on IMDB and Metacritic. Got 94% from critics who bothered to look up the file on Rotten Tomatoes but a 64% from TV viewers. “Dalby” and “missing nuclear phyicist” are the only bits of the synopsis that have anything to do the book they bought.

  3. 9:10pm so closer to 9:30pm being fta so maybe rec the show after to make sure you get the ending of this even adding 1/2hr to rec time have still missed the end of some stuff on fta

    1. Yes indeed, Joe plays an excellent Michael Cane including the smile, also Lucy Boynton and the dependable Tom Hollander play their roles well too. I do recommend this series especially if you like British, Cold War, Harry Palmer spy yarns. The second season of this show was made at the same time as the first, I believe, but I’m not sure how well this first season will rate on commercial TV in Australia, it probably should have been bought by Stan.
