  1. This mini-series was heavily panned when it came out a few years ago. I know that Nine has Grease, but surely Xanadu or “The Latest: Tribute” would have been a better choice on the main channel.

This mini-series could have been moved to one of the multi-channels.

  2. What a truly bizarre ‘tribute’, having someone else pretend to be her when she was an actress and performer for decades-‘Xanadu’ not available?

      1. Other choices are Xanadu a dreadful romantic comedy based around one single sung on roller skates, Two Of A Kind and even worse movie that reuniting her with Travolta couldn’t redeem and a cameo in Sharknado 5. Olivia Newton-John was a little known singer who moved to LA in mid 70s from the UK and got a leading role in Grease. Grease was originally a mediocre musical attacking nostalgia for the 50s and was quite crude that ran for 10 years. Hollywood bowderised it for a hit movie, making it both nostalgic and an attack on the 1950s morality (which made is a controversial film for children to watch on talk back radio at the time).

        1. Not really right to say a little known singer before moving to USA. Number #1 in UK, USA, Grammy noms, Country Music Awards, Eurovision #4. Grease stage musical was always very risque, more than the movie, but mediocre? The longest run in Broadway history, until A Chorus Line aclipsed it, and not to be confused with The Fantasticks run which was Off-Broadway record. Did you find anything nice to say abut her today?

          1. Olivia Newton John was primarily a performing singer. Her early work was Folk and Country covers, moving into pop love songs covers( as was typical in the 50s and 60s but going out of fashion by the 70s. She did represent the UK at Eurovision, but who remembers the song that finished 4th behind Waterloo, which she didn’t even like much. It was after the success of Grease that she changed her image and made popular songs. Grease was developed for Off-Broadway and because a surprise success on Broadway. Jacobs and Casey’s single success. Peer-pressure, drinking, fighting, date rape and teen pregnancy were risque in 1971 but by the 1980s were on Sunday night TV. It’s is rarely mentioned in the history of musicals and revivals followed the film, which ditched any criticism or irony, and OJN’s performance, heavily. Physical is the only song of hers I have heard and could name. It’s a atypical repetitive annoying 80s pop song, that isn’t quite an earworm.

          2. It was Long Live Love, not her biggest but #11 in AU and UK. None of your critique makes her a litle known singer tho. If Physical is the only song you can name then you could familiarise yourself… I Honestly Love You, If You Love Me let Me Know, Have You Never Been Mellow, Banks of the Ohio, Xanadu etc. I guess that explains your view tho.

  3. I knew Seven would somehow ruin the showing of the harry Palmer series

Why can’t they bump it to multi or put this awful made bio pic to multi
