Bumped: Shaun Micallef’s Brain Eisteddfod

Brain Eisteddfod moves from Wednesday to Thursday night.

10 has moved Shaun Micallef’s Brain Eisteddfod from Wednesday to Thursday night this week, adding an extra episode of The Masked Singer to Wednesday night.

Last week Brain Eisteddfod drew just 225,000 metro viewers.

It now pairs with the return of Gogglebox on Thursday night, preceding it at 7:30pm.

It continues to screen on Thursday September 1.

  1. I tried to give Brain Eisteddfod a go as I do enjoy Mad as Hell and loved Your Gen however felt this idea belongs at 4pm after school on a weekday then in prime time.
I didn’t tune in for the second week. I can’t see it being renewed for a second series.

  2. 10 seem awfully eager to burn off The Masked Singer this year.

Four nights a week?! At this rate, we’re only a week away from the finale.

And I thought that three episodes per week over the last couple of weeks was overkill for an already drawn-out show and I suspect that this will only further etch away at its dwindling viewership.

    1. The Masked Singer was the same last year. 3 episodes a week. 4 is not that different – only one more. Then the finale on Sunday to start The Amazing Race on Monday next week. They would prefer to get through The Masked Singer in three weeks .

  3. Is that really being “bumped” if it is just moving nights at the same time? I thought bumped was a bad thing to do with lack of ratings or something. And it is moved to a later time or a secondary channel like 10Peach.

      1. Ah ok. I would have thought it was planned all along to move it at this time. Otherwise The Masked Singer would have finished on a different night and The Amazing Race would have started at a different time. I just thought that maybe The Amazing Race would also be on Wednesdays, so it would had to be moved anyway. But you may know otherwise. That’s ok.
