Wise move by Ten ….. gogglebox showing at 830pm Thursday on Ten Play for those not seeing it at the usual time this week because of the soccer on Ten
what channel number is that? I don’t have that on my TV only 10 Bold or 10 peach
Surely Channel 10 could put Gogglebox on at 8:30pm Wednesday instead of The Dog House repeat.
With a four day long weekend in Victoria (Grand Final Eve) & pseudo one in the other states, moving Gogglebox to 9pm Sunday for a week would be a logical choice
Nik c: you and me both disappointed, Totally agree regarding the Aussie drama, I’m totally over the reality waddie stick it is way to much on Seven, Nine and 10 with constantly pitting each show against the other for ratings. Probably leaving the show for the Xmas period along with the same old stuff we are subjected to. I feel your pain.😂
This is so frustrating with After the Verdict finished I was looking forward to another short form Aussie drama.
There really is a lack of Aussie drama on free to air TV. I wish the mini-series were worth less drama points and that they were re-implemented to support all jobs in the industry and Australian culture.
It’s because the previous Federal Government suspended the Australian content quotas for free to air TV.
They were suspended in 2020 during COVID, returned in 2021 with some flexibility as to how networks met the required points.
10.30pm for Gogglebox??? Is that a joke? Why not just put it on the Wednesday like they have in the past instead of a dog house repeat. I won’t be staying up to watch it.
I think it requires Foxtel approval. It was originally going there actually.
So Channel 10 tosses away one of its few consistent hits to 10.30 pm in its three biggest markets –
while it continues to band-aid 9.30 timeslots with poorly rated reruns ..er.. encores previously aired a few days prior.
Sheer madness.
What’s the problem with delaying it a few days?
Why would Foxtel care – it’ll give them another chance at rerunning it ahead and syphoning off a few more Channel 10 viewers.
Maybe the Channel 10 chief shareholders live in Perth?
Hey Channel 9 , why don’t you programme the final episode of the block at 11pm Saturday?
Channel 7 , play the AFL grand final at 3am.
Sorry – I forgot – 7 and 9 want to win ratings.
I wholeheartedly agree with you, Jolly Wally. With all of the underperforming “encores” in 10’s schedule, one would think that they would be smarter about rescheduling Googlebox to a more opportune time for audiences in Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane and give one of their underperforming repeats the chop. Below are some suggestions:
Sunday 25 September 7.30pm The Amazing Race Australia 9.00pm Gogglebox Australia (special time) 10.00pm NCIS: Hawaii (special time) The FBI repeat would be skipped in these markets.
Monday 26 September 7.30pm The Amazing Race Australia 8.30pm Have You Been Paying Attention? 9.30pm Gogglebox Australia (special time) 10.30pm Just For Laughs Australia (special time) The Montreal Comedy Festival repeat would be skipped in these markets.
Tuesday 27 September 7.30pm The Amazing Race Australia 8.30pm The Cheap Seats 9.30pm Gogglebox Australia (special time) 10.30pm NCIS: LA (repeat) Knocking an NCIS repeat out of the schedule.
I really enjoy Shaun Micallef’s Brain Eisteddfod. Shaun’s great, the kids play along nicely as to the language experts and it’s fun listening to the crew laughing along. But there’s no way I’m missing the final of Mad As Hell.
I hadn’t thought of that, how ridiculous.
Either/or on catchup?….I also enjoy Brain Eisteddfod….I do not enjoy programs being constantly moved around….I lose interest, quickly.
TVT has influence. 10 has now moved Brain Eisteddfod to avoid a clash with Mad as Hell.
I thought it was in Shaun’s contract that a show that he hosts on a commercial network must not be on at the same time as Mad as Hell.
Excellent news. Thanks David
Me too. It’s my favourite Aussie show on at the moment.
Brain Eistedfod will surely be ranked one of the flops of the year when those lists start being complied in a few month’s time.
