S3 of My Life is Murder, starring Lucy Lawless, has a FTA premiere tonight on 10.
Also featuring are Ebony Vagulans (The Furies), Rawiri Jobe (Shortland Street), Martin Henderson (Virgin River), Joe Naufahu (Game of Thrones) and Tatum Warren-Ngata (The Power of the Dog).
The series previously screened on Acorn TV in October 2022.
When Alexa Crowe (Lucy Lawless, Xena: Warrior Princess) packed up her life in Australia and moved to New Zealand, she expected to bake some amazing sourdough, reconnect with her brother and enjoy some relaxing solitude in her hometown. But it didn’t take long until this irrepressible investigator found herself poking her nose into a bizarre unsolved murder case that no one else could solve. And then another and another and then suddenly hiding from the world and baking endless loaves of sourdough wasn’t quite enough anymore. Some things will never change. But now she’s been in Auckland for a while, some things are starting to shift. She’s built a small community of friends and fellow investigators in Madison, Harry and Reuben and while her time in Melbourne saw her dealing with the loss of her husband, and her arrival in Auckland saw her coming to terms with her childhood, Alexa is finally starting to look to the future and what she wants to do next.
Double episode 8:40pm Wednesday on 10.

Yay! This is one of my favorite series. There aren’t many lighthearted shows out there on FTA.
Same for me…I really like this.
About murder? Some strange new use of the phrase ‘light hearted’ of which I was not previously aware…
Have you watched the series? It’s hilarious, unlike the dark and serious tone of FBI or Criminal Minds.
As commented by mateo_mathieu…it’s not the usual American muck that 10 usually dishes up…it is not a police/court procedural, there are not many gory bits to see….no mangled body parts, breaking down doors and gun toting…which a lot of Americans are obsessed with in their shows…besides it was originally based in Australia before the pandemic and Lucy went back to NZ..besides some people who do commit murder and how they get caught can be quite funny…e.g in Brisbane recently a guy was hiding in a wheelie bin after attempting to murder someone when the police swooped.
Is this a new run or a repeat. I thought we saw it last year??
Says above that it’s a FTA premiere, but I’m positive I’ve seen series 3 already.
We saw S2 last year. This is S3 which aired last year on TVNZ1, Acorn in the US and Alibi in the UK.
Correct. So a FTA premiere.
Yes, you are right. My partner just reminded me that we saw series 3 on DVD borrowed from the library.
Thanks partner!
If you watched series 3 last year you probably watched it on Acorn, 10 only aired series 2 last year.
