My Mum Your Dad host Kate Langbroek is a late ring in for Celebrity Gogglebox airing tonight at 7.30pm on Lifestyle and tomorrow on 10.
Dave Hughes said of is wife: “Holly says she’s not a celebrity and apparently has no desire to be one. I don’t understand it, but I respect her wishes. Very luckily for me, my old sparring partner, the legendary Kate Langbroek, has found some time in her packed schedule to hang out again. It will be joyous.”
The special episode oddly looks at some of the TV highlights of 2023 including Married at First Sight, AFL and NRL Grand Finals, Matildas at FIFA World Cup, Selling Houses Australia, FBoy Island and bizzarely, Julia Morris watching I’m a Celebity Get Me Out of Here and Hughesy watching The Masked Singer.
For me this doesn’t work as well as watching the past week of TV. No disrespect, but I don’t really feel like getting teary to the loss of Jock Zonfrillo from MasterChef all over again.
I also don’t believe the celebs are watching these for the first time. Odd choice, guys….

Having dealt with one of these celebs IRL I couldn’t think of anyone more horrible to watch on TV, let alone listen to on radio. 🙁
I agree with you David, I just don’t know why they are going though the shows that we watched this year, i mean we already knew the outcome of these shows and they could’ve just watched the shows that was on in the last 7 days.
Also was there a reason to show the TV shows that we watched this year instead of the shows that was on in the last 7 days?
My guess is availability of the celebrities, they probably filmed it over a few weeks to coordinate schedules.
Ahh I didn’t know that was the structure for this episode, I don’t want to look back at sport (especially) and shows from earlier this year. I’ll give it a miss.
Celebrity Gogglebox goes against everything that makes the show what it is. So I refuse to watch.
