Flash adds Ticker News

Foxtel-owned streamer adds news service which was founded in Melbourne in 2019.

Foxtel-owned Flash News has added Ticker News to its streaming platform.

Flash will carry Ticker’s newsfeed 24/7, as well as VOD content.

Ticker CEO and former SKY News reporter Ahron Young says: “Ticker is focused on world news, but Australia will always be our home, so it’s exciting to be available on a platform like Flash News. It comes on top of our recent streaming announcements for the Australian market.

“We thank Flash and Streamotion for its trust in our service and programming, and look forward to an outstanding cooperation over the coming years.”

Ticker was founded in 2019 in Melbourne, targeting under 45s who have an interest in business, media, innovation & tech, initially through social media.

It now has broadcast deals with RakutenTV in Europe, the U.K. and Japan, Zee5 in India, FuboTV in the U.S. and Canada, and is also available on ROKU, Apple TV and Android devices globally.

Flash News launched in October with CNN, BBC, CNBC, Fox News, Al Jazeera and SKY News targeting “progressive, in the centre, or conservative” viewers.
