More cast join Bay of Fires for ABC

Stephen Curry, Pamela Rabe, Roz Hammond, Matt Nable amongst further cast filming ABC drama in Tasmania.

EXCLUSIVE:

New cast have joined upcoming ABC drama series Bay of Fires, led by star, co-creator and producer, Marta Dusseldorp.

Currently filming in Tasmania’s west coast, further cast include Stephen Curry, Pamela Rabe, Oscar Redding, Roz Hammond, Matt Nable, Nicholas Bell, Ben Knight, Emily Taheny, Emily Milledge and Andre De Vanny.

They join the previously-announced Kerry Fox, Toby Leonard Moore, Rachel House, Yael Stone, Tony Barry, Oscar Redding, Bob Franklin, Kim Ko, Rhys Muldoon, Imi Mbedla, Ava Caryofyllis, Ilai Swindells, Mackenzie Grant and Mitchem Everett.

An eight-part darkly comedic crime, it tells the story of Stella Heikkinen (Dusseldorp), a single mother of two, who finds herself in a small, remote community. But it’s not the kind of place they put on postcards – it is instead rife with simmering feuds, crime and sometimes, murder.

Co-creator / writers are Andrew Knight (Jack Irish) and Max Dann (Spotswood) with writer Sarah Bassiuoni. Directors are Natalie Bailey (Retrograde, The Unusual Suspects) and Wayne Blair (Total Control).
