Seven clinches ratings week as battle heats up

Sport helped Seven secure another ratings week, whlle a Nine juggernaut flexed its muscles in primetime.

TV reset the primetime battle last week, with a new reality battle, but while The Block launched huge for Nine at 867,000 metro viewers, Seven’s fortunes with sport helped it to secure another week.

The Commonwealth Games drew up to 729,000, while AFL scored on Friday & Saturday.

Seven won the demos 16 – 39 and 25 – 54.

Seven bookended the week with wins on Sunday, Monday, Friday and Saturday. Nine claimed Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday. ABC bettered 10 on Wednesday, Friday & Saturday.

Seven was victorious on Melbourne, Adelaide & Perth. Nine won Sydney & Brisbane.
